1500 Miles And A Week Later (#663)

A week ago, I was a customer service rep working at a very busy interstate travel center in New Mexico.

Now, 1500 miles and a week later, needing to be closer to family, I am in Western Pennsylvania volunteering as a campground host at a beautiful lake run by the Army Corp of Engineers, Shenango Lake.

When I needed to relocate, Workamper News was my resource.  I looked in their latest magazine and found my volunteer position.

It took some fast and hard work on my part.  Phone calls, emails, resume, background check and a bit of luck.

Mine was the one host position left at the lake for the 2017 season and I am fortunate and grateful to be here.

Some photos from my New Mexico to Pennsylvania route ~

What beautiful flowers. So glad you are safely at your destination. Hope all is well with family. Sometimes you just need to be close to them to recharge. Have a special visit at your new work camper spot. Always thinking of you.
