“It’s Cold Enough To Freeze Your Winnebago” (#623)

If you have ever watched the movie, “Muppet Family Christmas” you will remember the phrase: “It’s cold enough to freeze your Winnebago.”  Being in a frosty part of the country, I can relate.

The catch word here is “hibernation.”   It is rare to see anyone out walking these days.  I took one of my daughter’s pups for a walk.  He did his business in the first block then sprouted wings to beeline it back home.

Reconciled to life indoors, I have taken up a few projects to keep me from going stir crazy.

Baking is almost a daily ritual: Paleo Vegan lemon cookies, banana bread, apple muffins.  All part of our  “test kitchen” recipes as we switch over to a grain-free, dairy-free diet.  Amber has been making “cauliflower rice” and “zucchini noodles” to go with her fabulous entrees like grain-free crab cakes, asian chicken and grilled salmon.

Outside the kitchen, I have taken up my crochet needle and yarn to make (so far) a warm, comfy LaRue Scarf……

Hope you all are enjoying the indoors and/or outdoors of life in the good old winter.
