In the one day driving across Nevada from northwest to southeast, I experienced a sand storm with 75 degree temperatures in Whiskey Flats, 50s with a biting cold wind in Tonopah, then sultry and calm 70s in Mesquite just before crossing into Utah.
Road signs all along the highway said, “Open Range” Yes, I could see that. Lots of open range. But that is not what they meant.
The signs should have said, “Our Cows Roam Free” or “No Fences between You and the Cows” or even “Cows Crossing Everywhere”
And yes, I was driving through cow patties all day long 🙂
