Surf Fishing (#592)

A young lad walked into the camp store this morning.  He said he’d been surf fishing, caught a fish but lost all his fishing hooks so he needed some more.

When I walked over to help him, the reek of fish was overwhelming.  I said Whoa, what smells so bad?   He just smiled and said he had not yet washed his hands from the fish.

I took him back to the sink, poured some dish liquid on his hands, turned on the water and left him to it.  Much better when he returned to the counter, bought some bait and hooks and went back to surf fishing with his dad and friends.

Haven’t heard of surf fishing before. Guess it adds an exciting twist to a usually calm hobby.
