10,000 Steps Today…..With A Camera (#223)

It is now a week since I last saw Amazon and Kentucky in my rear view mirror.  Gone are the work days where I logged up to 12 miles of walking each day.

I now find myself feeling very fit and trim.  No more do I hold in my tummy to zip up my jeans.  They are actually loose.  Wanting to keep it that way I am taking the fitness challenge of 10,000 steps a day.

My pedometer of choice is the Omron HJ112 digital pocket pedometer.  Each morning it goes in my pocket and calculates the number of steps I take each day.

Today I set out to explore the various trails and boardwalks around Edisto Island.  I walked through a maritime forest,  over saltwater marshes , and along a tidal river.

I logged 10,272 steps and experienced some wonderful sights.

My 10,000 steps a day won’t always be with a camera but will certainly keep me feeling fit and healthy.

I love the tree in knots! Place reminds me of Jekyl Island in S. Carolina. Wonderful place to visit. Looks like you are having a great time. You deserve it after all those working days. I knew you would be trimming down. Had to be with all that walking. Have a great time.
