Here Gator, Gator, Gator (#219)

Day 2 of my journey south has brought me to warmer weather here in Prosperity, South Carolina.  Today was in the balmy 50s.  I am staying overnight at Dreher Island State Park on the shores of Lake Murray.

I thought this was the lake that had really big alligators in it.  Sadly, it is not.  They are further south in Lake Moultrie and Lake Marion.  So much confusion with all the “M” lakes.

Not that I am looking to find any gators.  Especially not when kayaking.  But it would be nice to get a picture or two.

So far, the pictures I have of other things are okay; tamer.

Peace on earth to you Annie!

  3. It looks beautiful Annie. What a good idea to move south for the winter.
By the way, I did comment on the successful completion of your Amazon job, but for some reason it didn’t appear in the comments. Again, well done! I wish you lots of well deserved rest and relaxation. How is it to have to structure your days yourself again?

They sure have a catchy state motto. Hope you have a smiling face as well!
