Pass The Prayers And The Chocolate Cake (#215)

Tomorrow starts my 50 hour work week at Amazon.  Five 10 hour days…..a week for a month.  And possibly more.

My weekly trip today for groceries netted me a huge chocolate fudge cake.  My way of celebrating the long haul ahead.  Or to keep me sane while I gear up for the long month ahead.  Or just because chocolate makes me feel good and I know I’ll easily walk off the extra calories.

Yes, sales at Amazon are way up.  This is the peak season.   My Jillian Michaels scanner is all over me.  Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep!

But just as I am gearing up for this long month, I also have the end in sight.  And that,  my friends, is another story.  I have a wonderful gift in store for my reward.

So up at 4:30AM and off to my 6:30AM start time.  It’s one day at a time…..and I’m still smiling all the way.  Pray that it lasts!

Love,  Annie

Just caught up with your last 5 posts, congratulations for pushing through that bad moment at work (with help from your wonderful mentors!).
    Loved your Thanksgiving dinner, too!
I’m thinking of you as you go this last stretch, you can do it Annie. The end is in sight, and I can’t wait to hear what you’ve got in store, no pun intended.

  4. Hey Sarah, great to hear from you!

  5. Connie T says:

I don’t know how you do it. 50 hours a week, of work is hard. Take care not to get too worn out.

    • One more week! One more week! My momentum mantra! Thank you so much for your concern, Connie. You are so thoughtful. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now. So I am resting on my days off and going the distance!
